There are many wonderful sights to see and savour in Bali. Below are some of the most popular tours destinations.
Tanah Lot Temple
This famous temple set on a rock, which has been eroded by wave action and is now a stand-alone promontory. Great for sunset photos.
Ubud
The cultural capital of Bali. Here you find art and artistry…Bali’s talent on display. Or, go white water rafting on the Sayang River. About 40 minutes’ drive away. Ubud is now very touristy, so expect traffic jams getting in and out.
Bedugul
Set in Bali’s mountain peaks, a beautiful area resplendent with mountain lakes. Visit the fresh vegetable market too. Also home to Handara Golf Course. One and a half hour’s drive.
Uluwatu
On the Bukit peninsula, another of Bali’s famous temples perched on the cliff face. Visit the surfing too, some of the best reef breaks in the world. One hour + drive.
Besakih Temple
The foremost holy temple for the Bali Hindus. Set at the base of Gunung Agung, Bali’s highest peak (3,000 m +), it is a vast temple complex of stunning beauty. Two hour drive.
Balinese Dancing
There are a number of places to watch the Kecak, Barong and other classical Balinese dances including at Uluwatu temple and in Ubud.
Mount batur trek
Your tour guide will pick you up in the very early hours of the morning for the 2-hour drive to the foothills of Mt Batur. This is followed by a hike to the summit, arriving in time for sunrise. If you get a clear day, the views are breathtaking. Only for the reasonably young and fit! On the way home, you’ll have the option of visiting s famous waterfall.

Island-Hopping / Snorkeling
Nusa Lembongan/Nusa Penida can both be seen from Sanur beach-great snorkeling at Crystal Bay, Nusa Penida and lovely beach club at Sandy Bay. Small boats available from Sanur approx. 30 mins by Scoot or there are more “organized” trips that can be taken with a tour operator.
